Day 2

With an 80% chance of rain today, we didn’t think we would get much hiking in but decided to give it a good try anyway. As it turned out we went for two good walks.

We started off the morning on the Lake Lawtonka Green Trail, a moderate hike of about 4 miles.

Field of wildflowers.

Looks like kody is walking into the tree and not coming out the other side.

After lunch we decided, since the rain was holding off, we would go for another walk. This was the Mount Scott Nature Trail, an easy trail of about 3 miles.

Just a wee stretch

There are LOTS of BIG boulders on Mount Scott.

“Oh give me a home where the Buffalo roam, and the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard, a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day.”
Well we got part of it right anyway. We did have cloudy skies all day and a little bit of rain but decided we could have a frizzy hair contest as a result so all is good.
What an incredible day with amazing friends enjoying each other and God’s glorious creation.

Todays stats:
9.9 miles
21,252 steps
